Budha Statue About

Buddha statues are revered representations of Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha) or other enlightened beings, serving as reminders of peace, wisdom, and the path to enlightenment (Middle Path). Originating from early Buddhist symbols, human figures emerged in the 1st century (Gandhara/Mathura styles), portraying specific hand gestures (mudras) that indicate particular meanings, such as meditation, teaching, or fearlessness.
